This article explains the relationships and types of people and organizations in Wheelhouse.

Parties fall into 2 categories: People or Organizations. An organization is a method of representing groups of people. People may or may not belong to an organization. See the tables below for definitions of the various types of people and organizations.

Organizations

Rep Group

A group of Outside Representatives.

Team

Any group of people. Often used to represent your internal company teams but may also be used to represent teams of people outside your organization.

Direct Customer

A customer organization that buys directly from your company and does not resell the products to someone else. (Business to Business direct sale)

Dealer (type of customer)

A customer that buys directly from your company with the intent of reselling it to their End Customer.

Internal Customer

A customer that is inside your company, either in the same division or another division. Typically used for inter-company transfers.

Division

One part of your company.

Supplier

A external company from whom you company makes purchases.

People

Contact

An individual (person).

End Customer

An individual to whom a Dealer sells after purchasing from your company.

Outside Rep

An individual outside representative, who is not an employee of your company, and may belong to a Rep Group.

Staff List: Employee

A person that works directly for your company.

Staff List: Sales Reps

A person that works with customers as an employee of your company.
