Choosing a User Profile
Updated by Austin Beveridge
This guide aims to assist administrators when creating a new user, and what the user can access in Wheelhouse.
Intro to Roles and Role Inheritance
In Wheelhouse, there are three different types of roles: Agents, Managers, and Administrators.
Agents
Agents have basic access to the department in which they work. They perform day-to-day tasks and have the permissions necessary to complete their assigned duties within their department.
Managers
Managers have all of an Agent's access plus higher-level permissions to their department. They can manage agents and oversee the departments they belong to. In Wheelhouse, this includes access to various management activities specific to their department.
Admins
Administrators have all of the Manager's access to their departments, plus additional capabilities for data administration and setup tables. They have comprehensive access across their departments, enabling them to manage data and configure system settings. This includes the ability to add and edit data, configure setup tables like labor routing and operation templates, and ensure smooth and efficient department management.
Choosing a User Profile
When choosing a user profile, it's important to know which department the user will be working in and the level of access they will need.
