If you're encountering issues with Wheelhouse, follow this step-by-step checklist to identify the source of the problem. Start at the top and work your way down. If you reach a point where troubleshooting requires administrative access or deeper technical knowledge, it's recommended to contact your system administrator.

Basic Troubleshooting

  1. User Error
  • Refer to the appropriate support article for the feature you're trying to use.
  • Double-check any manual inputs for mistakes.

  1. Browser or Computer Access Issue
  • Ensure your internet connection is stable.
  • Try using a different browser.
  • Try accessing Wheelhouse from a different computer.
  1. Site Issue
  • If possible, connect to a different Wheelhouse site.
  1. Request help from your Administrator

Administrator Troubleshooting

  1. Login to the server to display more detailed error messages, which can help pinpoint the issue.
  2. Script Issue
  • Temporarily disable all custom scripts in Wheelhouse.
  • Test the problematic functionality again.
  • Re-enable scripts one-at-a-time.
  1. Restart App Pool & Try:
  • If you have access, restart the application pool for Wheelhouse on the server.
  • Retry the operation in Wheelhouse.
  1. Restart IIS & Try:
  • If you have access, restart the Internet Information Services (IIS) on the server.
  • Again, test the problematic function in Wheelhouse.
  1. Check Error Logs on IIS:
  • Investigate the IIS logs for any recent errors or warnings related to Wheelhouse.
  1. Reproduce on Development Environment:
  • If possible, try to reproduce the error on a development environment with debugging enabled.
